TCG CREST has been recognised as a Deemed to be University under Distinct Category — Research by the Ministry of Education and the University Grants Commission (UGC), Government of India, vide Ministry Notification No. 9-3/2024-U.3 (A) Dated 07th May 2025, Govt. of India Gazette No. 21, May 24–30, 2025.
Built on a reverse-trajectory model, TCG CREST first established specialised research centres before establishing its five interdisciplinary schools — the School of Natural Sciences, the School of Mathematics and Computer Sciences, the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, the School of Health, Environment and Sustainability Studies, and the School of Economics.
Strengthened through close collaboration between the University and the Research Centres, TCG CREST fosters a unique ecosystem where inquiry, innovation, and discovery permeate every level of study, advancing excellence in both teaching and research.
